Current Openings

Climate Data Analyst

Department: Data & Research | Location: Hybrid (2 days in-office) | Type: Full-time

Join TerraFuture's data team to analyze environmental monitoring data from our network of 140 sensors, produce neighborhood-level reports, support advocacy campaigns with rigorous evidence, and contribute to our open data dashboard. The ideal candidate has experience with environmental datasets, statistical analysis, and data visualization, and is comfortable communicating technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Community Organizer

Department: Community Engagement | Location: Field-based | Type: Full-time

Work directly with residents in two assigned neighborhoods to build relationships, identify environmental priorities, recruit volunteers, coordinate garden and energy programs, and connect community voices with TerraFuture's policy advocacy. This role requires exceptional listening skills, cultural competency, and a genuine respect for community knowledge.

Grant Writer

Department: Development | Location: Hybrid (2 days in-office) | Type: Full-time

Research funding opportunities, develop proposals, manage reporting requirements, and build relationships with foundation and government funders. TerraFuture's annual budget of $4.2 million is supported by a diversified mix of foundation grants, government contracts, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations. The Grant Writer plays a critical role in sustaining and expanding that funding base.

Youth Program Coordinator

Department: Youth Education | Location: On-site | Type: Full-time

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of TerraFuture's Climate Academy and School Partnership programs, including scheduling, curriculum logistics, student recruitment, mentor coordination, and family communication. The coordinator works closely with the Youth Education Director to ensure programs run smoothly and students receive an exceptional experience.

Policy Researcher

Department: Policy & Advocacy | Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office) | Type: Full-time

Conduct policy research, draft briefs and testimony, track legislative developments, and support TerraFuture's advocacy campaigns with evidence and analysis. This role requires strong research and writing skills, familiarity with environmental and energy policy, and the ability to translate complex policy issues into accessible language for community audiences.
